A welcoming ceremonial public plaza accommodates a wide variety of civic events and a large focal fountain reaches out to the street, acting as a landmark along Dublin Boulevard . The interior sculpture and fountain courtyard is the "hub" of the building, and provides a visual amenity as well as a quiet oasis for City employees and visitors. We coordinated an art donation made by a local developer, working in conjunction with the sculptor to design the landscape setting for the artwork. The project was honored with a Gold Nugget Award in 1990.
