In Walnut Creek’s commercial downtown, the Broadway Overlook draws people to stop and contemplate the creek for which the city is named. We celebrated the creek with an icon of glass and granite. A delightful poem from an elementary school student was selected from the River of Words Contest, and etched onto the glass panel. This restful alcove, with custom guardrails, provides seating with views to the creek, and an effective interface with the adjacent commercial uses.
