PORTFOLIO : :
This master plan was developed for the improvement of nearly a mile of Tassajara Creek between Gleason Road and I-580. In addition to accommodating the hydrological needs arising from future growth, the plan provided for habitat restoration, native revegetation, trails and links, and maintenance considerations.
Our Role:
Developed a plan that established a set of criteria for this multi-use corridor.
Coordinated extensively with the California Fish and Game Department, The Army Corp of Engineers, Alameda County Flood Control (Zone 7), the City of Dublin Public Works Department, Caltrans, East Bay Regional Park District, local and regional trails committees and various stakeholders within the adjacent communities. Created the channel design which includes a creek revegetation program consisting of indigenous riparian plant materials supplemented by natural fibre matting.
Addressed the construction of adjacent nature trail, maintenance responsibilities, future development interfacing with the creek, as well as extensive restoration and enhancement of the riparian habitat.
