The 38-acre park focuses on local history, the natural environment, maritime activities, and stewardship of the environment. .
We led an outreach program that extended to over a thousand community members. The effort included public workshops, presentations to organizations, booths at local events, and an “Envision the Park” Fair. We created the
Master Plan and construction documents for the entire site, as well as provided bid assistance and construction administration services.
The park includes historic elements, reconstructed shorelines and native vegetation, vista points for maritime and port activities, beach, and over 1.5 miles of trails.
The plan accommodates active and passive uses. The community’s desire to emphasize educational aspects can be seen in elements throughout the park.
